So I’m out of my first trimester and can finally breathe a huge sigh of relief as these past 3 months of not telling you all and screaming from the rooftops how happy We are now that we’re in the safe zone has been so hard! Where I’d been doing weekly videos on my YouTube channel about slimming world I had to stop as I was just gaining and then eating rubbish and I wasn’t ready to share the news.
We’ve had our 12 week scan and it was just magical. I had a miscarriage a few years ago and to say I was nervous before going into the scan was just an understatement as I felt my history almost tainted my experience and I found it hard to be fully excited without being negative but thankfully, when we had the scan we saw a very active baby flipping around inside of me, it was only after a few minutes whilst the midwife was checking she had all the information and one wasn’t clear and when she went for a second scan the baby had a chance to settle and it was just chilling out sucking it’s thumb. It was the most precious thing I’ve ever seen.
I’ve decided I wanted to share my pregnancy with you guys. I know through the next several months my body will change and my eating is all over the place and I figured it not only helps me keep on track but there aren’t that many plus size and pregnant blogs out there and what better way to keep uploading content than to post about what’s relevant to me at this current moment 🙂

15 Weeks and X days
Size of the baby?
It’s about the size of an orange or as my pregnancy ovia app tells me, similar to an eclair!
No new scans, my next scan is dated for the end of June to hopefully found out the sex of the baby!
Total weight gain/loss:
I started my pregnancy at 22st 8lbs and I’m currently 22st 6lbs.
Are you following a diet?
I am following the slimming world plan as much as possible mon – fri and enjoying a few treats at the weekend to allow for cravings or eating out.
I’ve gone up a size already from a 24 to a 26 due to my tummy mainly and thankfully I still have a few larger sizes items from before I lost the 5 stone however I’m looking at maternity clothe from places like Yours.
No new ones aside the ones I had anyway
Sleeps gotten easier in the last month. I was really struggling in the beginning. I’m now only waking up to pee once or twice each night.

Well on Wednesday I felt the first official kick! I felt flutterings in week 14 and it felt like I was on a roller coaster at times and this week I felt the baby’s first kicks, it almost felt like a very delicate twitch of sorts or like a mini electric shock, it didn’t hurt at all, it almost tickled, a very weird sensation 😀

Yes as I mentioned above, very light movement a few times in week 14 and light kicks in week 15.

Anything making you queasy or sick?
The smell of smoke and the smell of coffee.
No idea, hopefully we’ll find out in June in our next scan!

This week I’ve been very happy 🙂 I had a lovely weekend, James took me the movies and we had lunch out and on Sunday we met some friends in a beer garden and it was lovely and sunny and I really needed it.
