La roche Posay event 7

I was lucky enough to attend the La Roche-Posay Christmas party and it was a double bonus as they launching their new Effaclar BB Blur.

I went with the lovely Hatty and Ashlee who ironically I met at the La Roche-Posay event last year! Entering the event was so magical it was like Narnia meets Santa’s grotto – we even passed the largest wardrobe to get in and once in, we were surrounded by trees and fake snow and far too many glasses of wine! Is there ever too many though?

The new Effaclar BB Blur shared it’s spotlight with the Hydraphase Intense Serum on the night and it was great to try and test both products. The Effaclar BB Blur comes in 2 shades – fair/light and light/medium which I’m hoping they will expand on. It’s purpose is to give you an instant flawless complexion which will last all day, It’s said to instantly absorb oil, help blur those fine lines and wrinkles whilst softening and smoothing the skin to minimise the look of pores, redness and blemishes. I’ve got the shade in fair/light which I think is a good match after swatching it at the event, I found it quite matte on the skin which would be perfect for all those oily parts but I worry about some of my dry bits but I’m really looking forward to trying it out and I’ll be sure to let you know my thoughts.

The Hydraphase Intense Serum is suppose to be amazing for any with dehydrated yet sensitive skin. It’s a thin gel texture that melts into the skin bu infusing the skin cells with water which is suppose to help smooth away the fine lines and give your face its natural radiant glow.

Both products will be available January 2016 at Escentuals and Boots.

  • La Roche Posay is an amazing brand. I love their Effaclar Duo so I’m excited to try the Effaclar BB Blur. Shame it’s so mattifying, though, as I like my skin to look slightly dewy. I wonder if a hydrating moisturiser underneath would help. 🙂 x
